Well I may be a bit off my league here in being judgmental but WTF do Mumbai Mirror editors find so fascinating about comparing Mohd Asif a serial doper now, with Mark Mcgwire and Tiger Woods, a bloody year, 2005?
So long for creativity, and they are not new into making stupid mistakes, I have been like reading them for quite long and their spelling and grammar mistakes when they started would make a 5th grader yell at them.
More from the WTF news:
In 2005, the year Asif made his debut for Pakistan, baseball legend Mark McGwire was labelled a cheat for using a legal, performance-enhancing steroid precursor when he broke baseball’s single-season home run record. The same year, Tiger Woods was celebrated for winning golf’s biggest tournament, the Masters, with the help of superior vision he acquired through laser surgery.
Certainly Asif could have stolen an idea or two from Woods. Unlike steroids which can be detected by tests, Woods decided to get the doctors to help him in a ‘legal’ way. In the late 1990s, both he and McGwire wanted stronger muscles and better eyesight. Woods chose weight training and laser surgery on his eyes; McGwire decided eye surgery was too risky and went for andro instead.
And here is the article. Happy WTF of the day.
Hey, what the heck you landed here out of curiosity or as a matter of some links that said that I am Keith Dsouza. Yea my name is not unique but while you are here, why not spend some time knowing me, err if you came here searching for someone else, spend some time read about me and then let me know if you think you want to know me.
Well to start few things you need to know my existence, so to be frank I was born on 8th of October, its also a holiday throughout the world celebrated as my birthday, yea I am that famous.
I have lived 24 of my living life in Mumbai (India) a place they call the business capital of India, but seriously I never had any business out there. For the rest of the two years of my life I have been in United States where I can sit on a train and see 6 people from different nationalities sitting across me. I know you are guessing my birth year by now.
I never attended college because I felt it was a waste of time (I am a graduate by correspondence), in the time that I could spare I built software and made a career out of it.
I bought my own house when I was 22 years old (I am still cribbing since I was technically 23), yea that is a plus point of not attending college to waste time.
I was laid off from a company after the first month I started working because they were cost cutting and I was studying, not because of my capabilities though. A proof of that was that they called me back and then when I was leaving them, they offered a offer which I could not refuse, but I refused nevertheless because it was more like being a jerk working there.
I have a bad habit of speaking my mind out, which in the past few years I have scaled to speaking my mind out to myself, still reaching the goal there. I have adapted a saying called “Sleep on It”, please don’t confuse this with “Sleep with It”.
I am a practically joker making fun out of situations rather than having to crib about it.
Well there are several things you should know about me, but I would leave it to the age old formula of know me to know me better.
By the time you have reached this paragraph I am totally sure you have a question in your mind, asking yourself what the hell you are doing here. But if you are interested here is what I do exactly.
Well I have been into software for 8 long years, I do not know when I will cease to stop being one, but yes I love coding, I love challenges and I love solving puzzles clients throw at me with something called software.
I have been developing applications in Java, ASP, PHP and more since last 8 years, though I do not have any client recommendations to show you how good I am (they always say I sucked). I grew from being a developer into a planner and integrator and my work obviously was noticed which led my employers to think that, I should be working from the US office rather than someplace else. Sigh all my other clients always told me I sucked at what I did (kidding).
I am good learner and quick at it, no kidding. I make software seem easy to those who are around me, if you don’t believe me talk to me.
Well I have been using WordPress for like eternity and never felt that the underlying software was good enough. My first thrust with WordPress development came with a still yucky commenting system where administrators had to visit a post and then reply to the comments. I swear I Googled a lot before I could find a solution for it, and yea the solution was writing something myself.
So I began a new journey, learning how to write WordPress plugins, taking numerous printouts from the help section and then wrote the plugin which started it all, it’s called Better Comments Manager. All it did was fix a feature that had to be inbuilt and allowed a site administrator to reply to any comments right from the admin panel itself.
Well for a period it did satisfy my underlying self telling me that I did something really big, but that was until I heard about a plugin competition that was being held at Web Logs Tools Collection (Disclaimer: I write for WLTC now) that led me to write one of the best, if not the best plugin of all time for WordPress called WordPress Automatic Upgrade. I won the third prize in the competition, but that did not leave people from saying it was the best plugin ever. Check how many people are talking about it on Google.
I have written several other plugins, few of which I have released and few which I am still finding time to release.
Well not end of the road, but a start to several new things you will see from me for WordPress.
I have been a writer by birth, I came out with a pen and paper in hand. Just kidding. I have always loved writing, since my school days where I wrote essays and more. The liking has since grown into me, but nevertheless did not mean that I was good at it.
I started blogging roughly more than two years ago in 2006 and have since never looked back, I own and edit my technology blog called Techie Buzz, A place to know your technology head on, along with keeping a place where I can crib without making someone lose their balance. I also write professionally for several blogs, the most known of them is Web Log Tools Collection and have also imparted Blogging tips at Blogging Tips.
Other than that I can’t write or no one else want’s to hire me yet.
Yea What Else
Well I do much more than a average person can do, but what the heck why should I tell it to a unknown person, read the get in touch with me section to contact me and know more about me.
I adore several people on this earth, many of them you may never know.
I was surprised you stuck so long and are really looking to contact me, but here are some ways in which you can get in touch with me.
Well that about says things you should know about me, before you can actually know me. If you want to keep in touch use one of the ways I suggested, the last one is for those who outright hate me or my existence.
Note: If you came here looking for my resume, hard luck, if I want I will send it to you, it’s on a very secret location right on this site and I will definitely make it aware to you, when I think I should.
Being a Indian it always amazes me how my fellow Indian are making a difference to the technology world. Here is a interesting interview Venture Beat had with Vinod Dham, also know as the father of Intel Pentium processors.
VB: What inspired you get into electronics when you were growing up in India?
VD: When I graduated in 1971, at 21, I ended up at the only semiconductor company that existed in India. It was a start-up that spun out of Teradyne Semiconductor and it happened to be in New Delhi. My home was seven kilometers away. It was perfect for me to live at home with my parents and work. It wasn’t until I worked at this company that my love for semiconductors bloomed. I found it to be a very exciting field because it brought in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and mechanical drawing. I moved to the U.S. and studied for a master’s degree in solid-state sciences at the University of Cincinnati, where I studied silicon germanium and compound transistors. I was doing that back in 1975.
VB: You came with very little money?
VD: I came with $8. In the 1970s, the government of India had little money to spare for foreign travel. They gave $8 to foreign tourists. As a student, I could get an additional $20. You had to go to the reserve bank of India. You had to apply. But it was such a corrupt country at the time; you had to bribe somebody to get the $20. I refused to do that. I said I’ll just go with $8.
VB: How did you get off the ground in the U.S. with just $8?
VD: That was the most amazing part. I kept it with me. There were many distractions. Even on the plane, they would sell cartons of cigarettes. People used to smoke. I used to smoke. The carton cost about as much as I had. The hostess offered me just one. I said I could live without smoking for a day. I went to the foreign student office. There was a lady named Mary Campbell. She had been corresponding with me for a year. She asked what she could do for me. I asked about my research assistant job. That was supposed to pay $325. She said I don’t get that money until I did a month of work. I told her I needed $75 to get into an efficiency and $15 for health insurance. I needed $90 to survive, and I needed more for food. She went to a room and came back with $125 in cash. She said it was a distress fund. I paid it back at zero percent interest at about $25 a month. She saved my butt.

I always thought that politicians were nuts and never knew what they spoke, I mean if you have been doing things for years and years and years and years and then come up with a article asking someone else to not do it, its really like a bouncer quite goes over my head.
To cut short I must commend the instigators of violence, bandhs, abuses, property destroyers and more asking other people to stop it. Seriously what the fuck. And to top it there is a threat that if people don’t tolerate they themselves will take up to violence.
I remember when I was a child some very well know person had died because of God’s own wish and the same fuckers had destroyed the same hospital including making our lives miserable and so of lakhs of other people.
Someone should show these guys their own history before they can write such things. Check out what I am ranting about.
On the hindsight I don’t want people to go out and fight but when your own house is a mess why give advice to someone else to cleanup their houses.
I could not stop laughing after looking at the title of this Spam Email in my Gmail Spam folder.
WTF is my penis some kind of software or what? I am not sure how they are going to apply an update to it. If anyone does try it out do let me know =)).
Surely made my day checking out the spam folder which I regularly do to check if any legitimate emails have been spammed.
ROFL =)).

I don’t usually visit Yahoo Mail much and use Gmail as my primary email address, however every time I login to check my email in Yahoo I get offers to accept millions of dollars.
Wow Yahoo Mail is definitely going to make me rich soon. Cutting the crap the Spam filtering of Yahoo practically sucks big time. They even ignore my request to block out a particular spam request and the next time I login to check my email I will see at least 3-5 emails from the user I had blocked. WTF?
Anyway’s dear Yahoo you keep on spamming me and I will keep on cutting down the number of times I visit Yahoo Mail to check SPAM.
This is what Roger Federer may be praying after getting a beating of his life from Rafael Nadal in the French Open Final.
This is the 4th time in 4 years that Nadal has got the better of Federer.
Well tough luck Federer wish you better luck next time and hope Nadal gets injured or loses to someone else.
Well the editorial of Rediff was always going down but now they are using sex and bikinis to draw visitors is a added bonanza.
I would not be surprised if they start posting nude photos soon ala Playboy.
Kudos to Rediff to going from being a news source to a source of sex news.

He has made so many nice films and now he is totally out of his mind for past 3 years, this is the limit of all limits.
Ram Gopal Verma you don’t need to see a actor you need to see a DOCTOR.
.. after pumping 6 sniper bullets into him next to a river or sea or whatever you call it without paramedics or ambulances. It just takes 1 minute to bring him back to life. Kudos Ram Gopal Verma you are God. Give me that power you have and please stop making films.
Didn’t you know you make flops? Or are you still letting us know that you make a flop every time you decide to make a film? I really can’t understand what you are trying to convey, man I am so sorry I am lost.
Well if you have Rs 200 to waste go and watch Sarkar Raj and take a few sniper bullets for yourself. And RGV stop making films yaar for God’s sake, if not for God atleast think of us innocent people na do you want us to die young suffering from what you want to convey period BULLSHIT.
