Microsoft have released the hardware specifications for the PC to be compatible with Windows Vista.

Windows Vista Beta 2 will be released some where next week at WinHEC ( Windows Hardware Engineering Conference ).

The bare minimum requirements are those which are largely met by Windows XP based PC's

800MHz or faster processing speed
512MB Ram (Random access memory)
DirectX 9 capable video card
20 GB Harddrive

For optimal performance with Windows Vista you will require

Mimimum 1 GHz Processor
1GB Ram
DirectX 9 with atleast 128 MB memory ( 256 recommended )
40 GB Harddrive

So are you ready for Windows Vista, I bet 90% of PC users are but are Microsoft ready with Vista?
