Ever faced crashes that has wiped out the content of your blogs, well If you know how painful that is then you may love this new product.

BackupMyBlog Beta allows you to automatically run remote daily backups of your entire blog database.

BackupMyBlog is a php script which resides on your blog server. The client that's placed on your server responds to requests from the BackupMyBlog backup servers to return infromation about your blog database.

You can setup the BackupMyBlog on your server using the interactive wizard or by just placing the required file on your server manually.

The client that's placed on your server does not change any information on your server, The database username and password is stored on your server itself, so you are not actually sharing any critical information with BackupMyBlog backend servers, or for that matter any one.

When your blog backup starts the backup servers use the PHP client script on your machine to get the layout and contents of your blog database. Once the backup is complete that information is archived and then stored on two different backup servers.

There are two ways to restore your backups in case of any disaster strikes, you can either use the BackupMyBlog interactive php script that's placed on your server or you can manually download a raw sql file that contain the necessary statements to restore your blog.

BackupMyBlog is free in the beta stages, so rush now and backup your blog database now. I have already backed up my database.

Its good, I already used to backup my database that way using my local machine to get the data from my servers.

But this is quite a unique service which most of the bloggers will appreciate, I have seen 3 blogs i regularly visit crash in the past week, so if they are reading this they will definitely be happy.

Cheers Keith
