India vs Australia 3rd Test 2nd Day Highlights

In: Cricket

30 Oct 2008

The 3rd test between India and Australia is poised in the favor of India with India declaring at the score 613/7. The highlights of the day was two brilliant double hundreds from Gautam Gambhir (206) who eventually fell to a lazy shot and VVS Laxman who scored a flawless 200 not out.

There were some rumors earlier that Laxman would have to make way for Kumble if India played 3 spinners, but the team management must have shied a definite relief that they did not go by that decision.

The highlight of the day of-course the Indian batting which came good with most of the batsmen converting starts, even the tail stung into the Australian bowling attach.

The Australians were certainly quite desperate to get wickets in the early Indian innings when Gambhir and Laxman were making merry of the bowling, and that became pretty evident when Ricky Pointing decided to bowl couple of overs himself.

All in all India have definitely carved a path from where they cannot lose now, it all depends on how India new bowl bowlers bowl tomorrow. You can catch the live action online between India and Australia.
