Though i certaintly agree that Google does (it does but 98% are free softwares) not sell me any service or softwares but Microsoft does but I still greatly appreciate the efforts microsoft puts in here, obviously they spend part of the money you give them to give you this kind of support.

 

I have had some interactions with both Microsoft and Google customer support and came up with this as i wanted to share some of my experiences.

One thing common among both are that neither of them could solve the issues I confronted them with,  that too 3 times in a row over a span of a month, but that's not why I rated Microsoft better or Google second best.

What entralled me is the peruasion of Microsoft customer support to ask me whether the issue is resolved or not, three times I did not respond on their mails for a single support call but still I got a mail saying that…

We haven't heard from you and this case will still be open till you actively tell us that the issue you have been facing has been resolved and some more blah blah blah is what Microsoft customer supports final mail read, so I am sure they will open the issue if they email them today.

 

For those who are still not aware google earns 12 cents of EVERY search you do, so with that kind of money i do expect some better customer support to be in place.
