20 Apr 2006Google had already accidendantly shared with analysts in early March about its new virtual data storing technology code named GDrive. Well now it already has competition before it can be made avialable to the public.
The MSN team is already close on their heels working on a new Windows Live Service code name Live Drive.
This is definitely going to be one close competition between both these Giants and I really think those poor private beta testers may have a way rough time with this. GDrive will offer users unlimited space, while Microsoft is planning to give out huge amounts of space, whichever way we are sure to get more than we can bargain for.
Well now it does not matter who gets out first, its who is better.
Why i say better is that there are so many services coming up today one after the other and only the best survive, it does not matter when something was launched, yes it was a different story with services like Flickr who had a early launch though.
I hope both these services are good enough and launch soon, I have been post-poning my plans to add some more hard drive space, so will wait some more time now lest i might regret buying that later with so much of free space to spare with these new services.
