Off To San Francisco Today For WordCamp SF 2009

In: Personal Ramblings

29 May 2009

I have missed a couple of WordCamp’s earlier, however this time I did not want to miss the WordCamp being held in SF, this one is probably the biggest WordCamp’s of all, and I had decided to make it there by hook or by crook :-) .

WordCamp is a conference for where developers, designers and WordPress users come together to discuss things and of course have a blast at the end.

This year’s speakers are pretty exciting which will make this trip a really enjoyable one for me. The speakers include.

  • Matt Mullenweg – Founder and CEO of WordPress
  • Matt Cutts – Head of webspam team at Google
  • Tim Ferris – Author of the 4-hour Workweek
  • Andy Peatling – Lead Developer of BuddyPress
  • Chris Pirillo – Founder of Lockergnome

and a host of other interesting speakers who will definitely make WordCamp SF 2009 a worthy place to be at.

After the conference there is informal party, where they will be celebrating the 6th anniversary of WordPress, and then the developer day at the WordPress office on the next day.

I might go in for a hour or so for the Developer day, and then spend a couple of hours looking around SF before I finally head on my way back.

Will post pictures and other stuff once I get back from SF, just too pumped right now to be going there.

Are you coming? If so do leave a comment here, I will be checking my emails once I get to the hotel.
