Well cricket is a religion and people watch it like crazy in India, infact its the biggest money spinner sport in India.

No wonder you see so many television channels running to get the television rights.

In the past 3-4 years we have had atlest half a dozen different channels showing cricket telecast with channels such as ESPN STAR, SET MAX, DD Sports, Ten Sports and now Sahara One.

If the bad commentary from some of this channels was not enough now showing the cricket matches on Soap channels is even more pathetic, I being a working person am not able to watch the live cricket matches, though i am not that upset about it, the problem is that these people don't even show the highlights of the match which will let people like to catch up on the mixed action.

I haven't yet watched a match from the current India – England series and am so pissed off that i can't even watch the highlights.

The BCCI is earning its revenue but they should have strict rules while they hand over the rights to such channels they are derpriving viewers like us from watching cricket.

These soap channels should stick to showing soaps rather than deprieve us of watching cricket.
