Golmaal really didn’t have to return – Rediff.com – It is refreshing, this long-overdue ability shown by our stars to mock themselves. Instead of shying away from three of his biggest clunkers — one of which he produced himself — Devgan is instead taking the punch front and centre, and knowing that the joke is on him makes it that much funnier.

Golmaal Returns Review – RealBollywood.com – It needs to be made clear that the film is not actually a sequel of the hit comic caper Golmaal (2006) by the same team. It just has the same four main protagonists of the original in a different situation. Shreyas comes in place of Sharman Joshi though. Golmaal Returns aims to be a light entertainer which expects you leave your brains at home before you enter the cinema hall.

Golmaal Returns Review – WhoIsDeep.com – On the acting front, Tushar Kapoor is good in his role but sometimes, he goes over the board and becomes more like a noise pollution. Ajay Devgan was pretty good, no overacting. Kareena was pretty good, so were Shreyas Talpade and Arshad Warsi.. .

Golmaal Returns Review – Economic Times – The breaking news is that Golmaal Returns is a clear rip-off of a 1973 Hindi film Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar. And though the era-old film was a decent story in itself and even remade as a Marathi film in the 80s, the Golmaal sequel doesn’t match up to either while deriving from both.

Golmaal Returns Review – NowRunning.com – The biggest problem with Golmaal Returns is its insane script. The writer has scripted some of the most bizarre of sequences in the name of a mindless comedy, add to it the poor execution and we have a movie that just does not deserve a watch on the big screen.

Ajay Devgan will be seen paired opposite Kareena Kapoor after their previous film, Omkara released in 2006. Amongst the rest of the multi-starrer cast, actress Amrita Arora will be seen opposite Arshad Warsi whilst Celina Jaitley and Anjana Sukhani opposite Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor respectively.
