With the introduction of Lists to the the public, Twitter has added a new Ego buster to the Internet. It would now be funny to see how many people are upset because they are not on someone’s list. LOL.

Here is a funny conversation from my wild wild imagination about the new twitter lists feature .

BFF 1: Hey, how are you buddy, you remember that we have to catch up today right?

BFF 2: Yea, I know, I know. By the way, I saw you created a few twitter lists, why am I missing from your BFF list?

BFF 1: Oh dude, I just created it for fun man, it did not mean anything.

BFF 2: Oh is it, then why am I missing from the list?

BFF 1: Well, dude your tweet a lot of stupid links man, I don’t want people to follow those spam links.

BFF 2: You loser, go to hell. I am unfollowing you on twitter and dude you can cancel our meetup for tonight.

ROFL all the way to your twitter list .

However Bollywood has taken over the twitter bandwagon in full force and there are several more popular Bollywood celebrities on twitter. Here is a list of popular bollywood celebrities on twitter.

Real Bollywood Celebrity Profiles on Twitter

Priyanka Chopra – The beautiful and bubbly actress has rocked twitter and currently has 42,548 followers making her one of the most popular bollywood celebrity on twitter.

Karan Johar – The popular and famous directory of candy floss movies Karan Johan currently has 13,566 followers.

Pritish Nandy – The poet, journalist, politician, television personality and film producer is on twitter with 3100+ followers.

Sonam Kapoor – The beautiful daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor is also on twitter with 9100+ followers.

Lara Dutta – The sultry siren and former Miss Universe is on twitter with 3000+ followers.

Imran Khan – The young actor and nephew of Aamir Khan is on twitter too with more than 4500+ followers.

Riteish Deskhmukh – The popular actor more know for his comic films is on twitter with around 4500 followers.

A very annoying example of this is a recent Distributed Denial of Services (DDoS) attack on twitter, now to do this neither do you need to have access to a server nor do you have to have physical presence on it, all you have to do is keep sending requests at such a rate that the service cannot process legitimate one’s, now read this article at Wikipedia to understand what DoS and DDos actually means.

Now let’s talk a bit about hacking, what does hacking mean? Hacking means that someone has physical access to your information either through direct access or through a worm/trojan/spyware planted on your PC, and they can carry out attacks on your machine directly, for more information about hacking read this post on Wikipedia about Hacker.

Now did twitter get physically compromised today? No, not at all they were under a DoS or DDos, so how the hell were they hacked? Yea reading the above you might think so to, but our really so intelligent Indian media has this to say.

Now I didn’t bother reading other news because this is utter bullshit, not only are they spreading wrong information they are also teaching their audiences wrong things, in addition to that they have no sense of research or other things, this is really unacceptable and wrong, if I had the choice I would fire their asses out and keep them away from writing any technology related articles.

This is not the first time I have seen such utter bullshit come through, my point of ranting is that you are someone who most of the people rely on for information, not every tom, dick and harry has access to internet, when you write such things you are already sending a wrong message and providing wrong information to the masses.

A basic check on things would have gotten things settled out, but we should also remember most of these media companies run on exaggeration and Rakhi Sawant.

Slowly people started coming in and we finally had a awesome bunch of people, here are the people who were in the conference and their twitter ids in no particular order.

Well that’s the list there, 12 of us had the most awesome time discussing things and laughing to no ends, jokes were flying out from everyone and damn that’s the most I have laughed in quite a long time.

We discussed lot of things and eventually ran out of topics, the things that we discussed was facebook’s vanity url, monetizing blogs, databases and the impact Oracle’s taking over MySQL would have, WordPress and postreSQL, operating systems, mobile phones, web browsers, experiences we have with making other people use something we like, piracy in softwares in India, some wifi (wife’s LOL, that was too funny), taking people in another funny conversation, backward or forward compatibility with symbian phones, why apple sucks and much much more.

Overall we spend more than 3 and 1/2 hours discussing things and laughing our asses out, we bitched about a lot of things we normally do, but we had fun at it too, overall a very healthy and funny discussion, we are planning to have something like this every week or so .

• Manan was really upset about not getting a Facebook vanity url, we tried to poke him a bit around.
• Ashwin talking about my recent profile picture changes, LOL i let the love our of my life.
• Shivaranjan’s slip on wifi which ended up as my Friend’s wife which we LOLed a lot about.
• Ashwin and Daaku’s jugal bandhi.
• Prashant’s humor.
• Sathya’s awkward silence.
• Manan’s candid views.
• Harshad’s request for no non-veg talk because Keshav was there.
• Ashish’s jokes at the right time.
• Ashwin using Opera for porn
• We getting serious and talking about several important things.
• Bitching about things.
• Explaining stuff to others
• Shivaranjan’s taking people in…. LOL was funny at the end.
• How we botched up in recording the entire conference.

Wohooooo tons and tons of more things we discussed and laughed about, but yes it was so nice to get back with a bunch of people who are like you and know how to have fun, am seriously looking forward to the new Twype now, will twitter about details and more later.

BTW here is a text chat log from the conference, sadly no audio streams will do it next time.

Just came across a profile on twitter that is supposedly from Shahrukh Khan himself, however there is no real way to confirm this, the so called Shahrukh twitter profile can be followed at @shahrukh_khan.

Most of the tweets are vague, some are related to his work, however that kind of information can be easily obtained by a simple search on Google.

The surprising thing about the Shahrukh Khan profile is that, he seems to be following more people than those who follow him back, this is however a bit strange for other big celebrities on twitter, who are not known to follow back a whole lot of people.

Also Shahrukh’s profile was created back in August 2008, however the first tweet was only on Jan 28th this year. I must say at that point twitter was not that awfully popular, leave alone a celebrity puller, so the big question mark of it being a fake account rises tremendously.

The profile in itself has been pretty vague, and only links to Shahrukh’s company Red Chillies Entertainment with no profile info provided.

Another few things that make me more inclined towards the twitter account is that, there are no mentions whatsoever of Kolkata Knight Riders in any of the tweets, except for a link to a twitter account which may again be fake.

And the final nail in the coffin was this tweet.

Now why the hell would Shahrukh Khan himself want to know which CMS system to use, considering that he is not tech savvy, I certainly do not understand why he would be asking that question on twitter, I would certainly not raise my eyebrows if he would have asked which actress best suited him in the form of “Juhi or Kajol?”

What do you think? Is this profile for real or just another fake one? No matter what, I have not seen Shahrukh Khan have a online presence yet, no websites or profiles anywhere, which does make my inclination to it being a fake a little bit more.

The sex siren and hot Bollywood star is on Twitter, you can follow Mallika Sherawat on twitter by following @MallikaLA, yes folks this is the real Mallika Sherawat on twitter. Another famous Bollywood star you can find online is Gul Panag who you can follow on twitter @gulpanag.

I can confirm this from a recent DNA interview she did, where she said;

The star reveals that her stay in Hollywood has actually got her hooked onto Twitter, the favorite social networking tool among Hollywood stars. In fact, she can’t go through the day without logging on to her profile on the social networking site numerous times over. "The username called @MallikaLA on Twitter is me. I have gotten addicted to it. It can be fun, and can connect people. And when people are connected, amazing things can happen," Mallika says

In addition to that Mallika also revealed that she had taken up some classes to get used to social networking sites. Also speculating that Shah Rukh Khan is also using twitter and hooked on to it, however I could not find her following Shah Rukh on twitter, will dig around and see if I can find his twitter handle for you.

Mallika says that she got hooked onto social networking sites as there were times when she used to feel lonely in the US. She even joined a class to learn how to use different social networking sites before she got hooked onto Twitter. "One of the hard things about spending time in the US was being so far away from everybody. Tweeting helped," she remarks, hastening to inform, "Do you know that Ashton Kutcher has one million followers there? Even Britney is a rage on the site. I found out that Shah Rukh is hooked on to it too."
